Live craps for players in Canada is offered by Loto-Québec at 50¢ to $5,000 a bet, with an Easy Mode that shows fewer bets. PlayNow lists Live Craps in its lobby without public limits, and PlayOJO and BetRivers in Ontario list craps by Evolution or a Craps category, with limits only after login. FanDuel Casino in Ontario listed Craps by Evolution at $0.20 to $500, though we could not confirm whether that table is live or computer-run. The lowest minimum we could see was therefore $0.20 at FanDuel, or 50¢ at a confirmed live table at Loto-Québec. We checked on October 19 and 20, 2026.

What this section covers, and why

This section covers two things that go together online: craps, the dice game most players find hardest to read, and the way live dealer games work in general, from the betting window to how a result is decided. For both, we use published rules documents and public lobbies, and we show the arithmetic behind any figure that matters.

Where did we find live craps, and at what minimum?

What do the basic craps bets cost?

The game turns on two phases. On the come-out roll, a 7 or 11 wins the Pass Line and a 2, 3 or 12 loses it; any other total becomes the point, and the Pass Line then wins if the point is rolled again before a 7. Loto-Québec’s rules describe these outcomes, with a 12 on the come-out as a push for Don’t Pass.

The arithmetic follows from 36 dice combinations. Pass wins about 49.29% of the time, so at even money its house edge is about 1.41%. Don’t Pass, which pushes on a come-out 12, has an edge of about 1.36%. The odds bet behind them pays the true odds, 2:1 on 4 or 10, 3:2 on 5 or 9 and 6:5 on 6 or 8 at Loto-Québec, so it has no house edge at all: on a 4, a $10 odds bet wins $20 one time in three and loses $10 two times in three, for an average of zero. Loto-Québec’s rules give a 99.17% return for Don’t Pass and Don’t Come with equal odds.

How do live dealer games work?

A live game is a real table streamed to your screen. You bet through the screen while a timer runs; Loto-Québec’s and PlayNow’s live rules show a green light while bets are open, yellow when time is nearly up and red when betting has closed. The dealer then produces the result, the game settles bets automatically, and a malfunction voids the round. Loto-Québec’s French Roulette rules add that the ball must complete at least six full revolutions or the spin is invalid. In Ontario, AGCO standard 4.06 requires game rules or help pages to show the odds, payouts or returns before a bet, so the rules should be one click from any regulated live table. Seats differ by game: BetMGM’s live American Blackjack in Ontario has seven, while Loto-Québec’s Infinite Blackjack takes any number of players on the same cards, and craps and roulette let everyone bet on the same roll or spin.

The guides in this section

  • How to play casino craps. The come-out roll and the point step by step, the arithmetic of Pass, Don’t Pass and the odds bet, Come bets, and the live craps tables we found in Canada.
  • How live dealer games work. What you see and control, the betting window, where the result comes from, what happens when something goes wrong, seats, studios and where to find the rules.

How we checked

We read Loto-Québec’s Craps, Roulette and French Roulette rules and its Craps table page, and PlayNow’s live lobby and rules, on October 19, 2026. FanDuel’s lobby was read on October 19, and PlayOJO’s and BetRivers’ logged-out live pages from an Ontario connection on October 20. Limits are those shown on a public page; anything shown only after login is marked as not shown.

What we could not confirm

  • Whether FanDuel’s Craps table is a live dealer table or a computer version.
  • Limits at PlayNow’s, PlayOJO’s and BetRivers’ craps tables.
  • Payouts on one-roll and multi-roll bets at each table.

Check a craps table yourself

Open the rules and find what happens to Don’t Pass on a come-out 12 and what the odds bet pays on each point. Then check the table limits, and watch a round to see how long the betting window lasts before you place your first bet. Compare any proposition bet’s payout with the number of ways its total can be rolled before you use it.
